Delivery

Orders placed as late as 2p.m. in the recipient's time zone can be delivered that day (earlier times may apply at holidays).Same day delivery is available on Saturday if you order by 1 pm in the recipient's time zone. No delivery on Sundays. Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee delivery for a specific time. Substitution may be necessary to ensure your gift is delivered on the day you requested. Please note that we are unable to deliver to cemeteries, post office boxes or APOs.

Recipient Not Home

If the recipient is not at home at time of delivery, the delivery driver will do one or more of the following:

• leave the arrangement in a covered, secure area of the home (porch, garage, or other entrance)
• leave the arrangement with a neighbor and place a message on the recipient's door with location information
• leave a note on the recipient's door asking them to call to reschule the delivery. A fee of $10 will apply if it is necessary to re-deliver the arrangement.

Incorrect Address/Re-Delivery

If we receive an incorrect address on your order or have an address change after the order has been placed resulting in a re-delivery, you will be subject to a $10.00 re-delivery charge.

Cancellations

To provide you with the best possible service, you can cancel your order any time prior to the creation of the floral gift, plant basket, balloon bouquet, fruit & gourmet basket, etc. by the floral designers. If the design work has started or the gift is en route or has been delivered, we will be unable to cancel your order.

Placing an Order

Order processing is encrypted using industry standard SSL technology for all customers who have browsers that are capable of transmitting or receiving encrypted data. You can also call us to order your gift. A $1.99 fee will be added to orders placed by phone so please consider ordering on line from our web site. A valid credit card is needed to order. We accept all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. All customers must be at least 18 years old to place an order with Merit Florist either online or via phone.

A transaction handling fee of $15.99 and 8.25% sales tax are added. Since our corporate headquarters is located at 6300 West Loop South #400, Bellaire TX 77401 we are required by state law to collect sales tax on all orders. Some products that take up a lot of space in the delivery vehicle may have a slightly higher transaction handling fee - i.e. sympathy standing sprays, large balloon bouquets, etc.

Substitutions

Substitutions may be necessary to ensure your arrangement is delivered in a timely manner. The utmost care and attention is given to your order to ensure that it is as similar as possible to the requested item.

Flowers

• In arrangements of assorted flowers, the colors shown online will be used if at all possible, even if this means substituting other kinds of flowers of equal or greater value.
• For one-of-a-kind flower arrangements, such as all roses or all lilies, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color.
• If the floral container shown online is not available, a similar container will be used.

Plants

• For green and blooming plants, similar plants may be substituted of equal or greater value.
• For one-of-a-kind plants, such as orchids, we will make every attempt to match the plant type, but may substitute with another color.
• If the plant container shown online is not available, a similar container will be used.
• For green and blooming plants, similar plants may be substituted of equal or greater value.

Fruit and Gourmet Baskets

• For Fruit and Gourmet Baskets, we will need at least 24 hours to gather the items for the basket to ensure that they are fresh. Substitutions may be necessary depending upon the time of year.
